North Bay Marsh 20 x 24, oil I saw on Facebook where a few my artist friends challenged themselves to paint with only 3 colors. Ultramarine Blue, Yellow Ochre, and Burnt Senia, (they also used white). So I tried the challenge it was a lot of fun. I want to do more. I want to try it painting portrait. I like the tonal aspect of it it reminds me of the at turn of the century Dutch painters. If you decide to take up the challenge please share your result.
Waiting for the Fish. 12 x 12 oil I tried something new on this work, I was reading Gruppe on Brushwork and he said he used stand oil in his turpentine. Wow! The paint is the consistency of ink you can actually draw with it. I am going to enjoy experimenting with it. Just put a few drops of stand oil in the turpentine and stir, now I have a new favorite medium
